Reserator 1 pump help!

Can anyone help me with how do I get the base off a Zalman Reserator 1 Plus to expose the pump. When I unscrew the base as shown it the user’s manual all that come lose in the stand. Direction please.
 
I had the same problem...this is what I did....1 remove the compression fittings so you don't damage them, lay reserator on the floor and using a large channel lock pliers grab the base and unscrew it.... I leld the reserator still by sitting on it and wrap your leather belt around the base to protect it from the jaws of the pliers.:)
