I am moving from socket A (system in sig) to 939 hopefully very soon. The current watercooling system, an alphacool xtreme pro runs on 8/10mm hoses (euro import - i am happy with the performance) and the blocks have nice fittings.

to order a replacement block to work on 939 / opteron would cost me close to 150 dollars after shipping etc it looks like, if i go through Alphacool (overseas shipping is evil) - but I haven't found any decent domestic manufacturers selling 939 blocks w/ 8/10mm fittings.

Any advice on that? Thanks!!!

www.frozencpu.com is starting to carry Alphacool product. I'd give them a try before tossing all your stuff out.

edit: http://www.frozencpu.com/ex-blc-258.html this will work great and it only 59.00

awesome. i called directly to ensure that the right parts were there and such, ordered that block, a bunch of new tubing, additive, and some new AS with shipping under 100 dollars. very happy with their service too - thanks for the link!!

What block do you currently have? Was there a way to get a different mounting plate for it, instead of a new block?

from what alphacool was saying, there was no way to get a different mounting plate for the block that came with the kit they originally sent me for review to fit 939.

while unfortunate, I was not thrilled with the original block anyway, and am taking this as an opportunity to clean out my w/c system from the ground up...

hey, what's the best way to do that, come to think of it? :)
