So here's the deal, I have HD-595s, original and I love the sound however the build quality is poor, and the plastic housing has basically cumbled/come apart on them for the second time. So I want to replace them with something with metal housing and similar quality, does anyone have any suggestions ?:)

Less then 200USD. I'm in Euro's here but mostly i care that the quality is similar/on a par with the HD-595's I'm equally interested in Gaming/Music/Movies and have a Elite Pro Xi-fi card.

I would definitely recommend you the Denon D2000. Denons have a quality bass with full bodied lows, neutral on mids and a decent soundstage. You'll probably love D2000 if you listen to music that emphasize on bass and still have a neutral sound. D2000 are probably the most comfortable headphones you'll ever wear, I find them even more comfortable than Beyerdynamic DT880. You may be able to find them used for around 200USD, even if you pay a bit more, they are well worth it.

How odd.. never showed any updates on my thread till I looked.
Well thanks for the advise i'll have to look into em.
btw spaceman, is their some issue with the Denon or something?

Yeah some people reports having the screws on the earcup coming lose and falling off, a little hotglue or similar fixes the issue... this even happens on the D5000.

I would sell you mines for $200, but no way haha they are freaking shweet.

If you want tank quality cans, beyerdynamics offers the DT-770 / DT-880 / DT-990 and so on models that are built like TANKS, I think someone ran over a pair on head-fi with their car and it turned out fine lol.
