I need some replacement fans for my Antec 900, cause I hate LEDs

I have heard about Scythe S-Flex and Yate Loons mentioned a lot on the forms, but im not sure what would be best for me.
I would like it to move a decent amount of air but i dont want it to be screaming.

I run the Antecs on the mid power-level and they are not too loud, but i figure I could get better cooling with replacement fans and have similar noise levels without LEDs
 
i think yate loons are mentioned a lot because they're really cheap but great fans. i think the only issue with them is that they're sleeve bearing in which case, you dont want to use them in horizontal position. it wears down the bearing the creates extra noise.

i myself have the scythe's but they're like twice as much as the yate loons. they have pretty high CFM for the amount of noise they make. i'd say they're on the same lvl as the noctua fans.

Both are good fans, the S-Flex being much better than the YL's, but also allot more money. For the price the YL's are quite hard to beat, but there are better fans out there. My choice for anything that is not in the horizontal position would be Slipstream fans and for anything horizontal some Kama Flex or GT fans (depending on what you want to spend).

The slipstreams move the most CFM to noise out of all in a free air or case like inviroment. If you have a controller I would say go with the 1,200rpm model, being that you are ok with the Tricool fans on medium you might be able to put up with them at full speed....But you never know, without a controller I would say get the 800rpm models. And about the same for the GT and Kama fans.
 
Definately not trying to break the bank cause I have three cases, all vertical mounted.
9 fans in total. Only two of cases have a place for a controller but I dont have one, and if I did it would have to be stealth(READ: no lights, protruding knobs etc.).
The other three are going into my Norco.

Since they are vertical mount would you say that I could get just as good CFM from a YL as the slipstream? and you mentioned Noctua, I didnt even think of them.
I have one of their HSFs and I really like it.

If you are not trying to break the bank then Noctua is out of the picture, they are some of the most over priced fans out there, if you were to buy one of the cheapest Noctua fans as a replacement for all 9 fans you would be looking at over 160 bucks.

The Slipstream fans are going to move a good deal more air at the same noise level than the YL fans.

Specs from SPCR:

YL:

32 dBA@1m/1640 RPM/46 CFM

~20 dBA@1m/860 RPM/21 CFM

Slipstream:

28 dBA@1m/1210 RPM/46 CFM

~18 dBA@1m/720 RPM/24 CFM

As you can see there is a rather large gap in CFM to noise with these two fans. At full speed there is a 4 dBA gap, which means the YL is 1.31 fold louder than the Slipstream pushing the same CFM. I also find the Slipstream fans to have a smoother sound. So if you can spare the cash the Slipstream is the way to go, but with having so many cases the YL's cost might be helpful, but keep in mind that the YL low speed is still 1350rpm, which you should be able to deal with since I think the Tricool fans are about 1400rpm at medium.

Does the same hold true for 80mm as well?

I also need about 4 of those.
 
Good luck finding real YL in 80mm, not many out there that sell even 120mm YL's, and slipstreams are not sold in 80mm, your best bet is going to be the Kama Flex or Nexus.
