Removing Disk Manager

I am trying to repartition (not format and especially not lose data) a 75GB harddrive using Partition Magic and I get an error saying a conflict with Disk Manager. My question(s) are:

1. How do I Remove Disk Manager?
2. Can I safely format the MBR without losing my Information?
