I haven't decided on a camera yet (actually I need help with this :( ) but I was wondering if there is some sort of device I could attach to a camera that would allow me to use zooming with a Sunpak 620-7575CC tripod as a wonderful homemade steadicam. Would not be practical to try reach over to the camera to zoom, but would be better if like I had some sort of handheld device or something.

Any suggestions? Also looking for a camera that could handle 720p natively that would be great for practicing handling and cinematic shots. :)

EDIT: I think I would be better off starting with a Panasonic Professional AG-HMC40 or Canon XA10 Professional. Will take me a number of months (possibly until next year) to save up enough money for one of these. :) (but I want one very much.)
