Reg tweaks to improve performance

I realize there are a number of websites that list certain reg tweaks to improve system performance in a number of ways, but I can't believe that there has been a completely comprehensive list written. Why not list some tweaks that you've come across to improve performance in different areas (i.e. file system, networking etc)? I'm sure there are also misconceptions about what works and what doesn't. Every little bit helps!

I think the only real tweak I've ever done was to make Windows XP keep all the system files loaded into main memory and not page them to disk.
