Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I wanna get the card in the title. how do i know if its the 128bit or the 256bit doesnt say and i heard that those cards are out thier? i dont want the crappy 9800pro. is neweggs return policy just as god with the refurb cards?
The picture shows it has the L-shaped memory, which is the trademark of a 256bit bus. So as long as they ship you what's in the picture, then you're ok. Might wanna take a snapshot of the page for reference though, just in case they try to pull one on ya .
No, some manufacturers are selling a 128-bit "Pro" version, but it SHOULD be noted that its a 128-bit card. IF IT is DONT get one.
I bought a refurbished ti4200 a while back and it was screwed up. I'm 100% sure it was that way when they sent it to me. And with refurbished stuff there's a restocking fee. I noticed it was shipped from some one else in California, not the usual Newegg address. So newegg may not have known it was a bunk card, that a vendor of theirs was probably trying to unload for a little money.
Now, I'm very wary of buying refurbished stuff. Especially since you only have like 10 days to return to. I actually wasnt ready to build the system that it was supposed to go in yet. But luckily I tested it first in my main rig, just to make sure it worked.
Normally, Newegg is great, but be careful about reburshed stuff. I dont think it always comes from them either. (maybe from a refurbish/repair shop)
