Refresh rate

geth the Mitsubishi 930SB it is the best 19"Crt you can buy now for Under $500. I haveone and it is amazing. It does 1600x1200 at 88Hz. It also has a full .24 dot pitch

I concur with vperricone.

Uhh, who's that?

Anyways, I agree, 85 Hz is better. However, if possible, NEC FP912. I've been hearing more complaints about the Mitsubishi DP930s than I have about the NEC FP912s. Too bad the FP912 is super rare because they discontinued it for some unknown reason.

He be banned. AKA Vinny77.

it is also 300 instead of 250.

The viewsonic P95F does 85 1600x1200 right? and its 250 too i think.

It is OK. I would take it over the Viewsonic though. You still have to pay shipping with newegg. I picked up a DP930 from Dell for about $287 shipped (sale is already over). I have some minor issues (possibly windows itself) with it but I would rate it 4 out of 5 (picture is excellent, those issues are somewhat bothersome)

edit: solved the resolution auto adjust issue and the NEC/Mit rep told me that the 120dpi issues is either the fonts themselves or Windows

change my rating to 5 out of 5 stars

I have a 17" CRT at 1280x1024 at 60hz... Is that bad?

If you don't mind scourging your eyes out after about 15 seconds look at it.

It's *healthier* to look at your desktop at ATLEAST 85hz.

I dont really know what my refrest rate is right now...I have an old Trinitron Multiscan 200sx 17inch

Hmm... Maybe I should get a new CRT, because I always get headaches and sometimes my eyes hurt so I have to go off the computer since I use it all day.

Is this monitor good? I dont want to buy online so...

Yeah, low refresh rates will give you headaches and eye fatigue.

And yes, the NEC FE991 is a good monitor.

after you've been using 85Hz and go to 60Hz, you go crazy in two seconds.

I have a Philips 17" 1024x768 @ 85Hz.

Works good for me.
