Well... What is Refresh Rate?

Well.. i know its a stupid question... that any 4y.o knows..
but i dont :(:(

So... What should i use witha Philips 107t and a FX5900se (no... i didn´t change it for the BFG...) ?

refresh rate is the rate in hertz that the monitor displays a new image sent from the video card. At 60 hz for example 60 images a sec are displayed one after another. Also the monitor cannot display more fps than the monitor can output in hz, so if you use v-synch to prevent artifact tearing, it will limit your fps to your refresh rate.

On your Philips 107t, the refresh rate you should run at depends on what resolution you're running.

If you're running at 1280x1024, the specs say that you can only do 60 Hz. Ouch, painful.

If you're running at 1024x768, the specs say the recommended refresh rate is 89 Hz, so I'm assuming 85 Hz.

Also, low refresh rates can cause fatigue on the eyes, and flicker is very noticeable. I run at 1280x1024@85 Hz myself.
