refresh rate problem?

when Im playing certain games the refresh rate goes back to defualt when I start them.I use 100 refresh rate but when I go in certain games it goes back to 60 and its really noticable because with vsync off on 60hz looks terrible.Anybody know why its doing this?
im running xp also.

I've had problems in the past with games going to 60 despite using programs like reforce. Make sure your graphic and display drivers are both loaded, if the game does not have an option or command to set the refresh rate, try using the drivers or reforce.

It happens to me when I use multiple displays, when using reforce make sure you have the ACTIVE monitor with the overrides. Too bad new games wont boot with reforce on .
