Reformat Dell?

Before I formated it said Dell XPS gen 3 above the processor speed and to the left it had the big blue DELL symbol and it had a support button down at the bottom. But now its all gone. I used the CD's dell gave me. Wich was just a normal windows xp cd with the name DELL on the cover.

Remember that the disc that they gave you is not whats loaded on your system when you get it (they mass-clone). The rule of the recovery disc bringing your system back to factory state applies only to programs and drivers. I'm failing to see this as a problem.
