Redoing My W/C system. looking for pointers

Well i stumbled accross this website last night looking for a nice forum about w/c, and decided i want to redo my loops.

when i did this setup the first time i was still a bit green on all the aspects so i had a friend come and help me.

Here is everything i got in my computer and ill explain my loops as well.

Rig:
Intel Core i7 930 running at 4.2ghz
EVGA X58 Classified LE E759 BIOS
3x2gig OCZ Golds 8/8/8/24 @ 1600MHZ(Stock)
EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 480 at 820/1640/1903
2X OCZ Vertex 30GB SSD Raid 0
300GB 10,000RPM Velociraptor
Corsair TX750 750watt PSU
Lian Li 343B Case

I have 2 seperate loops in the watercooling setup

Loop 1:
Laing D5 pump with koolance block -> Koolance CPU 350AT block -> Koolance NB/SB block for 58 Classified -> Bits Power Voltreg for X58 Classified -> Magiccool 1080 9x120mm Radiator -> Bitspower res -> Pump

Loop 2:
another D5 Pump -> Koolance GTX 480 block -> Koolance 3x120 Radiator-> Bitspower Res->Pump.

i have been reading alot into the forums and have noticed that most of this is really overkill for the system. So i have been thinking about it throughout the night and i want to try and get a multipump system going and combine the loops, but i have no idea on how to setup 2pumps in 1 line. i came up with an idea but i need alot of opinions on if it will work properly or not. i will lay it out.

Res - Split to pumps - Each pump hit a rad- 1 rad split 1 tube going to cpu other going to NB/SB Volt reg - other rad going to gpu and combine again to hit the res

i know it seems overkill and un needed but those are all the parts i have right now including an extra koolance 3x120 rad sitting around.

so thats what i have so far im still thinking of different ways to run the loop. Any pointers are greatly appreciated.

That single 1080 radiator is more than sufficient. Hell, hook up that extra radiator, and I'm pretty sure you can go passive cooling =D

I would do everything in a single loop. No need for splitting or anything like that. Loop order does not matter besides the reservoir before the pump.

To set up two pumps in series (which is the best for you I think), just route the outlet of the first pump to the inlet of the second pump. You don't gain maximum water flow, but you do gain increased pressure, which improves water flow in a high restriction system like yours.

thanks alot :D ive always been wondering about the multi pump setup. my computer looks pretty ghetto right now but ill be sure to send pics of it when i finally get it done.

since its all one loop should i put a rad inbetween each block?

like rad cpu rad Nb/sbvolreg rad GPU then res?

You can if you want to. Like I said, in a system like yours, the loop order does not matter.

Oh, and don't forget the Silver killcoil or PT nuke if you don't already have them.

Edit: I would do whatever loop order makes it easiest, and uses the least tubing.

thank you guys for your replies. ive looked up the silver coil and the PT nuke. which do you think is better? i was originally going to run it with Feser one UV red since i already have 1 bottle from a previous installation i was going to do and never got to it.

I prefer straight distilled water and UV reactive tubing, that way there's no risk (however small it might be) of the dye gunking up the waterblocks.

Either will work just fine. I prefer the silver killcoil because you just drop it in the reservoir and forget it, whereas with PT nuke you have to remember to add it each time you change out the water.

Thanks. i decided to go with the killcoil. that way i dont have to keep adding the pt nuke/buy more.
plus it will make it easier on me considering i plan on adding atleast 1 or 2 more videocards in the future.
