Red pulsing LEDs

I need to have a couple of red pulsing LEDs in a case to give it a warning style effect (its a biohazard style case mod) I would like to be able to set the LEDs to on all the time or pulsing. Is there any way I can do this without getting the resistors and magnifying glass out and creating my own board?
 
I went to compUSA a few weeks ago and picked up a set of 4 casefeet.
the led's are detchable from the acrylic feet, and blue, but you can switch them out. they also come with an on off switch and a mode switch to have them pulsate to different patterns.

You'll need some sort of a pulsing circuit... How many LED's?

Then yeah, you could get the sunbeam case feet and switch the LED colour... You need the round ones, not the ones that stick out like a rectangle.

But they're kinda hard to find these days... Blue:LCF-B is the model name, and they only come in blue.
 
I'm sure you can get hold of LEDs that pulse themselves - the astable circuit is built onto the actual semiconductor the LED is made from. A few of these, and you're laughing, although they might not be synchronised.

You might be able to get these with three legs that you can make continuous - otherwise you'd need a separate set of LEDs.
 
WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS? Know those LED bicycle lamps? They're battery powered and have between 3 and 10 LEDs of the colour of your choice, and pressing the button pulses them between flashing and steady.

Job done! Hide the PCB somewhere, remove the LEDs and replace them with leads, and resolder the LEDs onto the ends. Do the same to the switch. Wire the battery terminals to a Molex plug.

Perfect!
