When I built my system I set up two 250GB drives in RAID 0 because I thought it would improve performance. Now, from what I've read it appears I'm likely getting a negligible speed increase at best, and since I'm concerned about data loss (family photos) I'm considering other configurations. I primarily use the system to play BF2 and surf the web, but I also have a lot of digital video waiting to be edited. So, which configuration do you guys recommend:

1. RAID 1 using the two drives for redundancy.

2. A single drive for Windows and other programs with a RAID 1 array for the data (photos, video, music, etc.). If I go this route is it worth getting a Raptor as the primary system drive or is a WD SE16 sufficient?

3. A single system drive and RAID 0 for the data, which can be backed-up to the system drive provided I get a big one.

4. Stick with the current configuration and get an external HD for backing-up important data.
