Recommend speakers?

Okay, let's push about $100 into my audio experience. I currently have $30 speakers which aren't bad, but aren't exactly good, either. I'm going to be using the onboard sound on my AV8, and I want something nice for movies and gaming. Surround sound would be super.

From what I've seen, the Logitech Z-5300e ($130 from ZZF) seems to be my only option. Am I missing something?

That subwoofer will be much better than any Logitech set I've heard.

p.s. The shipping charge has been raised to $37.85. This kinda kills the deal. Sorry. Ecost has apparently changed thier shipping policies. They used to ship stuff for a flat fee.

good deal except that deal or the site is notorious for fluctuating the price on those speakers and i think it's been as low as $99? And that countdown timer is a con. But still a great deal.

Yeah, the countdown thing is a gimmick. And the handling fee is kinda shifty, but they ship the stuff reputably, are vaugley upfront with the fees, and have good prices. That's just about all I care to have in an online store. I've not had to deal with thier warranty service.

oh yea the shipping is definitely dodgy and that's what stopped me from buying them, thank god for that cause i stepped up to the world of hifi audio

you can get a kick ass set of refurbished klipsch promedia from their website. nearly impossible to beat for the price. I've used the 4.1's for 3 years now and they are still near the top of the heap in sound quality.
