Hey guys,

I was not sure if the SFF guys or the OC guys would be the group to ask, but I was hoping someone might recommend a mATX MB that overclocks well with a q6600.

My only requirement being that it accepts DDR2 and would be compatible with the new 4890 card I am getting.

I was going to just buy an e8400 and get rid of the q6600 and be done with it, but members have made a good point that I should give OC a go one more time (I tried a while back with my asus P5n32e-sli, but I could not OC above like 2.8ghz), well the MB failed sometime this year (stock clock) and I used the opportunity to buy a cheap intel dg35ec and use it in my SFF case. (Just offering a little background of where I am at now.)

Short version, I was hoping you guys could recommend something that overclocks fairly easily with the Q6600 hopefully for a decent price.

Thanks!!!

The Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L for 50 bucks plus something like this. The board is an overclocking wonder with all kinds of settings for memory and voltages. There is also an upgraded board for 65 bucks but I dont have any personal experience with it. The G31M I have is awesome but the passive northbridge doesn't cut it. It needs some kind of active cooling.

I'm sure there are others, but I did a lot of research before I bought it and at the time (one year ago) this one was the best value, great overclocker, and compatible with all 775 socket CPU's.
