Recommend a UPS for me?

My BestBuy Cyberpower 685AVR seems to be glitching up a lot recently. (literally will just shutdown completely and beep which causes me to have to reset it, only started doing this about 3 months ago, more frequently now) Purchased it in 2005 and it's saved my butt a couple times, so it's paid its dues.

Most of my gear is not plugged into the UPS side of it (only PC and 1 display), so I'm unsure why its playing up lately.

Here's my equipment I have and I'd like a recommendation to prevent

**PC gear**
OCZ GameXStream 700W PSU
Intel Q6600
4 Harddrives
8800 GT

**Displays**
25" HannsSpree LCD Monitor
22" Envision LCD monitor (when I ever get it back from repair)

**Audio Gear**
2x - Yamaha 5" monitor speakers
M-audio USB keyboard
Altec Lansing MX5021
Mbox 2 - USB

**MISC**
USB Harddrive
USB Scanner
Netgear Router
BrightHouse Modem

Most of the time when my current UPS craps out I'm not doing anything strenuous, maybe watching a video or playing some music.

Maybe something like this would help you: http://apc.com/products/family/index.cfm?id=22#anchor1

Also, I have found this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16842102048
That particular one from Cyberpower is heavy-duty, and looks like it would work well with your equipment.

And, as another recommendation, maybe you could look for a UPS that suports business desktops, as well, because that way you can have room to grow your setup and still have it protected.

Hope this helped!

Thanks for the links. I think if I was going to go with the heavy duty route (1500VA) I think I'll get an APC one as its $5 difference and can be picked up locally.

As for the other LS models of APC you mention, I don't think those would be appropriate for my needs. As you can see, I'm probably already hitting close to 600watts which none of those LS models would work with.

Anyone else have a personal recommendation that they would use in my position?

Buy up a used APC SmartUPS or other business grade unit, get one with dead or pulled batteries, and spend about $40-50 locally to get new batteries for them. You can usually find used 1000-1400 VA models for about $50 shipped, so you get a really nice reliable unit for around $100 total, those are good for 670-950 watts. I've got a horde of these at home, enough to run my 6 PC network for several hours.

Where exactly do you go to get new UPS batteries locally? My 550VA unit only gives me 10mins, so I wouldn't mind getting a bigger unit sometime in the future - but without paying out the ass for the high capacity ones.
