That has three line-outs. i would like my set up to be as follows:

1.) logitech z2300 2.1 speakers
2.) headsets (headphones with direct-sound through vent)
3.) tv (i watch tv shows i download through my samsung 37" lcd that is in extended display mode)

ive searched but I cant find any soundcards that state they have 3 line outs.

i currently have a p6t mobo, i THOUGHT you could have 3 lineouts with the onboard REALTEK but apparently not.

also, my lian-li case does NOT have front panel audio.

do they even make sound cards with 3 line outs?

Your Realtek onboard SHOULD allow two independent simultaneous line-outs, referred to as "10ch sound" or "7.1 +2" which you can configure in the Realtek control panel. This would be ideal for less acoustically important things like Ventrilo and TV.

The Forte would then likely suit your needs for a secondary card to run your system/games/whatever else from.

I used a similar setup for a long time on Vista (32 and 64) and it worked great until I replaced my Audigy with a C-Media based sound card: their drivers don't always get along with Realtek's onboard drivers.

Alternatively you could use the Realtek 7.1 +2 and switch to a USB headset for Ventrilo.

i cant find the realtek 7.1 +2 option.

i am 99% sure i do in fact have the latest drivers.

forte looks nice I am definitely considering that.

thanks for the advice =D
