I am doing a "Rebelution" themed computer case.

Rebelution is a Rock/Reggae band from california. You can see/hear more on their website

I am a huge fan, and this is my first build in a very long time. I won't be modding it too much...but fully painting and customizing it to my preference. I hope you enjoy and appreciate as much as I do.

Here is my worklog:

Here I am prepping for the dremel work in the plexiglass.
I will be using a CoolerMaster Centurion 5.

Here I am getting into etching their logo into the plexi.

Here is the finished logo....very happy with it.

Thank you!

Here is the case painted all matte white. I will be aiming for all matte white, red, yellow and green...with copper.

Side panel finished!

what do you suggest?

I wast thinking about painting over the white, with a grey. I may be able to add more copper with that. it just flashes way too much with the white.

Very interesting concept and looks very nice so far.

+1 for liking Rebelution. I went to high school with Wes, their drummer.

that's an interesting idea with different colors
good skills with dremel too)

What if you went over a pic, or maybe a few in photoshop with the clone tool, or whatever you prefer and start lapping copper over the white to get an idea of what it might look like? It might be hard to fake the sheen, but it might give you a better idea without painting, and then repainting if you don't like it.

Also, a copper interior would look sweet to go along with that fan and heat sink.

Good work with the dremmel, I would have slipped and put my fist through something; maybe a boot :p I've worked with glass and I don't think I ever went through an entire piece without slipping once and leaving a halo or two. I never lost my temper either, I guess I'm just turning into an old fart =[

Haha. Do you think it should be all copper? Or just the inside copper, and the outside white/copper? thats a really good idea. I'm not good with photoshop at all. I think i will give it a try. I have to make a new order of paint. Thanks!

Both me and my graphic designer wife think that the inside would look sweet if it were copper

I'm not a huge fan of the white, but it does look good, and if it was all copper it could either:

look amazing
or
OMG TOO MUCH COPPER!

I definitely think that copper fan and heat sink need some copper company.....

DUDE....I just had an idea.....

if you like the white case..... what if you did a copper lion graphic like you etched on the window? maybe on the motherboard side of the case? the front panel might be too distracting, but I think a copper lion would be sweet :D

Also, maybe there could be a way to tie the copper bars into the rest of the case without having to paint it all copper.... perhaps painting the top rim (possibly the bottom) of the front panel or the top of the case copper so that those copper bars "have somewhere to go" so to speak.

I'd say see if you could get some LEDs put some edge lighting on the side window. Should make the etching really pop.

All in all, not really my style, but great craftsmanship. I'd have totally screwed up that window.

Thats a great Idea. I might try with the inside copper first. If that doesn't work out. I will try the Lion on the other side of the panel. I do agree, a little bit more copper will do the finishing touches. Thank you for your replies.

I thought of using UV paint, and using a blacklight to pop the etching....but that might be a little over the top. I think if I were to use any LED lights, it would have to be white. I'm not into the flashy blue or red, etc.

I do have a blue LED on the Zalman, but I haven't had the chance to see if i can take them out.

On another note, the white isn't really my style. I have grown to like it more than I did though. What do you guys think of Grey instead of White? I'd be using this Grey.

Thanks!

Man, you scared me, I thought you painted over the case.....tell me you have more than one of that model. No offense :p If it is identical, pop that side panel on and see how the gray and copper co together. I like the copper and white, but there is too much white. Copper and white reminds me of Star Wars or Steampunk. Check this out for some inspiration.
