Well, whole disk encryption really.

I just bought a WD 120GB external HD. ($120 after rebates at CC, get you some) Now, I'd like to store/backup all my important (ahem) files on this disk. But, I would like it to be encrypted.

The drive will be used by 2 computers, at different times. Both currently have XP Home. Would encryption via XP Pro allow use by 2 different computers? Is it the best solution? Strong exncryption is good, don't want big brother taking a peek at all my classwork. Another concern is the software must come from a reputable company. I would think the shadier the company the more likely it is a backdoor exists. I've seen a couple companies offering encryption software from non-US country domain names. Doesn't necessarily mean anything, but I'd like others opinions.

Hopefully you guys have some better ideas, under $100 ideally.
