Can anyone give me any info on how to update the bios of this RAID controller to RAID 5? it also says it can handle 8 devices, but I only have 2 IDE channels that I think are on the RAID controller can anyone help? I can give more info, I'm just not sure what to say.

Here's links for the BIOS file, proving I can do RAID5 on my AT7 MAX2

Thank you for your time.

Might I suggest contacting Highpoint or ABIT, or checking out the forums at ABIT USA or AMDMB for installation instructions? It looks like you run the self-extracting executable, extracting the contents to a floppy disk, then run the "Load.exe" program in the /BIOS directory. You may want to confirm this before completing the process.

It's possible that the AT7-MAX2 could handle up to four physical drives in a RAID 5 configuration (master/slave on two channels = four drives), but remember that you need at least three identical drives.
