I thought I'd let you guys know about an issue I've been having with my system randomly restarting for a while and I think I figured it out, finally.
MOBO: Intel dp35dp (terrible, never buy intel, ever! Won't let you OC)
CPU: Q6600 with aftermarket cooling
GFX: 7900gt
RAM: Kingston HyperX 8500 2x2 gig sticks
PSU: Antec 500w smartpower
Ok, what the problem turned out being was that the ram was supposed to run at 5-5-5-15 at 1.85v minimum and the shitty ass bios was setting it to run at 5-5-5-18 with a maximum the motherboard could run of 1.8v. Turns out I bought ram that technically can't run on this motherboard because the voltage the motherboard puts out is just not enough.
I updated the bios to the latest version which allowed me to change the ram settings which the older version would not allow (stupid board).
So, after buying a new PSU and switching out a few other things I found that it was the bios and incompatible ram in the first place. Right now I have the ram running at 5-5-5-15 at 1.8v and it's running just fine.
Who knew, I almost assumed it was the motherboard and chunked it.
