Hi, I've been having this problem were my computer locks-up for no aparent reason, and then I have to use the reset botton to reboot. I cleaned like 100LB of dust out, problem solved......frozen. That only helped, but didn't fix the problem. Now I will boot the computer on in the morrning, and get as far as opening the web browser before it frezes for the first time, reboot, get as far as the BIOS, frozen, reboot, this time it runs just fine for the rest of the day.


I also have some fan that makes a ton of noise while the computers cold. I haven't been able to see which one it is, but I suspect it's one of the ones in my PSU an Enermax EG365P-VE because they are the only fans I cant see.

Could be your PSU needs replacing if your fans in it are dying. Might want to make sure tons of dust did not make it to CPU hs/fan. PSU most likely overheating.
 
But if the PSU is over heating how could run all day, like it is right now, with out problem. CPU heasink/fan are clean as I said it was unrunnable untill I cleaned it out with compressed air, but that didn't fix the whole problem. I guess I'll go test the PSU, what are the wires you need to cross to turn the PSU on?
