Hey Guys,

Hopefully someone here can give me a hand with this issue;

My system is randomly hanging for anywhere from less than half a second to 4 or 5 seconds while gaming (I've noticed the hangs in COD4, GTA IV and Dragon Age).

I recently switched over to a RAID 0 setup (2x 7200.12 500GB drives) on my EX58-UD5's intel controller that I use exclusively for games. This is the only thing I can think of that could be causing the hangs and I don't recall having the issue before I switched to the Stripe.

I also switched my video card from a GTX275 to a 5850 a couple months before I set up the RAID but again, I don't recall having the issue before that.

I'll list my system specs again to make sure I didn't miss anything in my sig.

Gigabyte EX58-UD5
Core i7 920 @ 4.00Ghz
TRUE
6GB Corsair DDR3 2000 @ 1600 (7-7-7)
Corsair TX750W
XFX Radeon 5850
8800GT PhysX (Gen-L patch)
Velociraptor 150GB - OS
7200.12 Raid 0 (Short stroked to 500GB) - Games
Caviar Black 1000/750GB - Storage
Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Thanks in advance guys.

i am by far no expert. mabe try and run a single HDD and see if it stops your hangup. could be a raid issue. like i said not an expert just thinking

like capone said, just try loading a game on your raptor or something, see if it works (maybe discon the RAID setup entirely, just to be "sure")

re-load mobo and graphics drivers just 'cause

running any emulation features in 7 for these games?
back the CPU clock down a bit, test that?
