specs:
1100t x6 cpu
4x2 1333 ram
M5A97 asus motherboard
asus dcu2 top gtx 670 2 gig gpu
three acer g235h monitors
Everything at stock.
It seems that my gpu's not reving up like it should. When in windows or in a game menu my gpu will throttle down as necessary to around 330 mhz or 550mhz because in a menu being at 1200 mhz just isn't necessary.
However, after adding a third monitor (not using surround, however, just three monitors) recently I've noticed my gpu isn't reving back up to 1200mhz like it usually does after I go from the menu back into the game which causes lag and slow performance at 550 mhz. The game I'm playing where it most happens is Alien Swarm which is a half life 2 engine based game that's free on steam.
Did I stumble on a seriously messed up driver issue or is there something else going on? Any one have this sort of issue?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or feedback.
