Ram question

Hi all

I'm getting a new computer with a 2500+/NF7-S/9600 Pro

My question is about the ram. Is it better to get (1 x 512) of good fast ram, or (2 x 512) of Kingston value ram.

I don't want to get (2 x 256) of good ram, since then I wouldn't be able to upgrade it later, and the performance bonus from dual channel ram is negligible.

Thanks in advance.

if you're not gonna overclock id get the cheap stuff. If you are id get the good stuff.

If the ram is PC3200 I would go with the gig of value RAM. As long as you don't want to go over 3200+ speeds with your 2500+ it will work great.

Thanks for the responses. Yeah, it is PC3200, so I think I'll just go with a gig of the value ram.
