I haven' followed RAM price much lately.. are the current proces for PC3200 considered high? or low?
 
Someone said they were increasing, i haven't been able to find any good deals, looking for a 512mb stick of Hyperx PC3200.
 
RAM prices are going up. For some quick reading on it, I suggest going to anandtech, in their weekly price guide for memory and their entry level systems guide they talk about it a bit. Both articles are currently on the frontpage.
 
Prices on 512mb DDR have increased $30-$50 per stick over the past 6 weeks. There is an "anticipated shortage" which induced a buying frenzy, so I would say this price range will be this year's high.

The other thing to consider with all Cas2 DDR (i.e. HyperX, etc), is that it will not be available for much longer, as Winbond exited the memory market some time ago, and supplies of their BH-5 are gone, and CH-5 are getting scarce (CH-5 is the really the only chip that can reliably produce modules of DDR400 that can run at CAS2). As you will notice, Corsair has introduced some CAS3 XMS memory so itsproduct lines will not be shafted when the CAS2 runs out.

Bottom line: if you want CAS2 stuff, go ahead and get it, although you WILL pay a premium. If you just want RAM that works, give it a month or two for prices to fall.
