RAID0 partions?

ok im hearing that its bad to partion out a RAID 0 set up

but there going to be the only drives in my PC and i want a small partion for my OS so i can just image it and restore the image like i do now

soo is there more overhead when you have a partion on a RAID0 set then if you partion a single drive :confused:
