I have a weird issue that is bothering one of my customers. We have this box that has two raid arrays using the internal Intel ich9r raid controller. One is raid 1 and the other is raid 0. Sometimes upon reboot, one of the disks will not be seen or be reported as bad/missing by the Intel bios. If you reboot the box, it will come back, but sometimes it takes a few reboots. The guy had to reboot 17 times today to get all the disks back. When the disks show up the system boots fine and there are no problems. The system is a SBC so it is not like a normal motherboard, and I could post specs, but I doubt you have heard/seen this board. There isn't a firmware update from the manufacturer either. Is there some magical setting in the bios that I am missing that would make these show up more reliably? Or should I push on the SBC vendor to get an updated firmware?
