Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm in the market for one as well. I'm setting up my first RAID setup w/ 4 Western Digital 120's and was currious as to what is the RAID card of choice.
It depends on the level of RAID you're looking to do. You can get an inexpensive adapter that will do RAID 0, 1 or JBOD, but not 5. For RAID 5, you'll need something a bit more high end. That said, Adaptec and 3Ware both make excellent IDE RAID cards capable of RAID 5. The Highpoint RocketRAID is probably about the cheapest you can get, but only for RAID 0 or 1, not 5.
This article is a little old, but still has a good deal of great info.
Also, if you find what you're looking for, I'd suggest ebay for the final sale. I bought an LSI MegaRAID 1600 SCSI card for about $130 new OEM. The retail goes for around $800 on LSI's website. Just a thought.
