hey i am sorry if this is not the right area but looked the closest. i am looking to turn my current desktop in to a raid/media server. i was looking at something around a terabye. i wanted to do a raid 5 setup using 3 750gig seagates. the only prob i am having is finding a card that would handle that. i was looking for something with about 6 to 7 connecters but can only find cards with 2 to 3 connecters. if anyone knows some good sites please help and post them. here is the spects
3200+ amd 64 bit
2 gigs of corsair (2 x 1gig) (anyone know what kind would be the best with corsair?)
asus mobo
win xp and maybe slackware
1600xt ati vid card
74 gig wd rapter (boot drive)
3 750 gig seagates with 16mb cach
also i only have pci no express

The reason you can only find 2 or 3 connector devices is because you are looking at sellers of consumer and bottom barrel business level equipment. For enterprise level equipment you need to get ready to drop a few hundred to a few thousand dollars.

thanks i am looking at it right now. now i am only looking for the pci card. i want to build the system my self so i don't need a rackmount or anything
 
A highpoint 2220 is probably a good choice for you. Areca makes cards that are faster, but they're about twice as expensive ($500 (for the 1120) versus $250).

They're pci-x cards, but will fit in pci slots fine if the physical clearance is there. Google for more info.
