I currently have a raid 0 setup using 2 74g raptors. I am getting ready to do a new build and was curious if I will lose all data on the drives when I take them out of the current system. Or if I would be able to slide them right back into the same array when installed on the new system.

First off, backup that data! Secondly the array might work if the controllers are the same or similar model. Other than that they will not; if it is going from nVidia to say Intel, they will not work and you will lose all your data.

Sparkyy thanks for the reply. Well, always keep a backup of my important files. I just was curious to see if I would have to go through the loong process of setup to current specs that I have now. Which, I don't mind doing.. Just wanted to find out what you all thought first. I was thinking that you would never be able to produce the same array if you swapped so you believe that if I keep the same platform ie nVidia to nVidia it may be possible?

It may be NVidia to NVidia, but if your changing chipsets you'll most likely lose the array as well. As I'd imagine the controllers are slightly different between chipsets.
