I just got an emachines notebook about a week ago and it has this video card in it. It has 64mb of shared memory. Is this a decent videocard and can it play many of the newer games. I haven't been able to find much info about it.

got a friend with that same IGP, dont know but he says he runs ut2004, havent checked IQ tho

Does it really matter now that you've already purchased the machine?

No, it doesn't really matter. But I didn't buy the notebook for playing games, I bought it for grad school. I'm just curious to know what I can do to with it as far as games go.

IGP320M = 1/2 of a Radeon 7000:
1 rendering pipeline w/ 3 texture units, no hardware T&L
160MHz core speed
64-bit shared memory

I built my gf an IGP320 system and gaming was pretty slow. I think it managed around 30fps in Q3A at 640x480x16. Good thing she only played The Sims.

o_O I pull 80fps in Q3A at 1024x768x32 on my laptop

Not with an *IGP320M* chipset's integrated graphics. Unpossible.
