radeon 9800pro with artifacts/speckles?

just got the card, and in desktop, and especially games, i get little red artifacts, um using the most up to date catalyst drivers and havent overclocked at all.. my friend apparently had somewhat of the same problem, and he was told it was a memory leak?

any ideas? can it be fixed? dont wanna RMA :(...........

You going to have to RMA it my friend, sometimes the cards aren't 100% when you get them its rare but it happens. Sounds allot like a cooling issue. Does your case get really HOT? Are you overclocking the card? Add more fans or don't overclock and that should fix the problem. Most likely you got a bad card.
 
yea i have 2 fans in the case, and i am not overclocking, BAH i dont wanna RMA! boooooooo! thanks tho
 
RMA the sucker, it should not do this under stock conditions (unless your comp is REALLY hot inside).

I have a 9800 pro 256 and its runny groovy in my case.
