I'm not much into gaming anymore. 1-2 times a month I'll spin up HL-2, Chronicles of Riddick, Doom3, or UT2K4.
My 9800 is OCed to almost pro levels.

What's the cheapest Nvidia PCI-E video card that can atleast match it?

I want to go nvidia, because my primary OS is Linux.

6600 would be a close match. The 6600GT is also good, but it is quite a ways above the 9800pro performance-wise.
