Like the above guy mentioned, what do you guys actually use those other slots for these days?

Now I realize there are people on the extreme, running raid cards or maybe firewire or something.

But I would bet 95% of the people here running a p4 or newer are using no more than 1 card at most, and probably 90% of the people with a core 2 duo or better are using no card at all (other than video ofc).

Maybe I am wrong, but I would be surprised to see what possible reason people use the PCI slots for :).
 
i guess the main thing would be sound cards but i cant even remember the last time i used a sound card. if matx board were better overclockers, ( and if they used premium chipsets) i would be using an sff or htpc case. besides possibly the dfi jr p45 there hasnt been a decent overclocking matx board since tforce 6100-939. so i am stuck with a shitload of unused slots and a big ass case.

Yes, its called the ATI partners getting all worked up that a new company is coming that actually puts GOOD non-reference coolers on their boards and comes with more then decent OC's, oh yea with better warranties.

Hopefully this kicks the other AIB's in their butts to get us better more unique cards other then the same stuff we see from Sapphire and ATI themselves!

lifetime warranties is the only thing i miss about nvidia cards :(
