QX6700 Temp question

Is it me or does this seem a little high for this proc under low load?

I cant seem to get it much lower.

That is very high for stock speeds. Try reseating your cooler and make sure you have proper contact. Also, ensure that you have decent airflow in your case.
 
Umm had the same chip before my QX9650, it needs a very good heat sink in my opinion or it heats up bad. Have you looked a the realtemp program, and seen what it says about your temps? I second Zero82z about possible poor heat sink contact. It looks like you have some space in there.
 
real temp puts it a good 30c below these temps, wtf is up with that, im going to go buy something other than the stock tomorrow. cant kill this 900 buck processor
 
So i wonder why there is such a temp difference between the two programs and real temp, which one to trust? I say the two that are the same.
