QuickPar slow under Vista

I have a 320gb partitioned SATA drive with XP 32bit and vista 64bit installed. In XP QuickPar will do about 750-800MB/s repairing archives, yet in Vista x64 it will only repair at about 45MB/s. Has anyone else has this problem? Is there a solution or an alternative to Quickpar that takes advantage of the dual core?

Works fine for me here in the following:

XP x86
XP x64
2K3 x86
2K3 x64
Vista x86
Vista x64

Based on testing, it's faster under 2K3 x64 than any of the other OSes, on the same exact hardware, by about 12%. XP x64 comes in second, then Vista x64, and the x86 OSes are roughly the same speed.

Go figure...

I have also noticed that it takes quite a bit longer to extract stuff out of RAR archives also in vista. Perhaps there is a problem with hard drive performance for me under vista?
