Quick U2410 question

Has Dell started shipping the A01 version yet? Or i can only get it if i send back a A00?

I read the U2410 thread but didn't feel much confidence there, i just would like someone to confirm it.

Yes they are shipping A01s Although they may still be shipping A00s as well. May depend where it ships from what they have left in inventory. Several people have received them including myself. If you get an A00 just flash itself to the A01. It has been talked about in the u2410 thread about the firmware update. I wouldn't worry about getting an A00 when you can just update it yourself. The only fix for the A01 is to eliminate the dithering in the sRGB modes.

The only problem with updating the firmware to A01 yourself (which is an easy process and works fine btw) is the ever generous Dell have officially stated they will invalidate your warranty if you do it. Of course, proving you've done it is a different matter. :) Still, if I were buying new I'd wait a few weeks more until all the A00's were out of the channel, and get their A01 - just to be on the safe side. But if you're desperate you can certainly update to A01 yourself and the fix works fine..
