I had a RAID 0 setup on my EVGA 680i LT board that got RMA'd and now I'm getting ready to install an XFX 680i board. Will the existing array be recognized by the new board since the two motherboards are extremely similar or will I basically have to reconfigure the array and lose everything on the drives?

UPDATE: The manuals say they both use NVIDIA Mediashield RAID if this helps...

in theory you should be able to hook up the drives to new mobo (with same chipset) and it should work, in practice it's not always as smooth but usually works.

+1

I would do a backup just to be safe so if you have to wipe the drive you will be OK

Are 680i LT and 680i considered the "same chipset" as far as this scenario is concerned?

Also, I can't back up the drives because I already sent the old motherboard back to RMA. I hope you guys are right because it's really too late to do anything else about it...

as far as raid stuff goes the 680i and 680lt are same chipset

You could always download the old drivers from the old board and then the new drivers and check the version
