yes, they both got the 64x extension, however unless your running tons of heavy programs at a time, stick with a 630(then o/c it), the D830 is about to be a thing of the past.

Lolz first of all the 600 series p4 is a 64bit chips, performance wise between the 2 chips is minimal, the 820 will perform slightly better.

It depends on what you use your CPU for.
If you are just using single-threaded software, like eg games, then the 630 will be slightly faster.
If you are doing heavy multitasking (and I mean heavy, as in two or more CPU-intensive apps, not a webbrowser or mail client or something, that should be handled fine by HT), or if you are using a lot of software optimized for multiprocessing (like audio/video editing/encoding or 3d rendering), then the 820 D is probably the best choice.

I think for most people the 630 would be the better choice.
