Hey guys, I have another small easy question. I just got a new sound card in, an Audigy 2 Value, my question is do I need to disable my integrated stock sound card for any reason at all? If so how would I go about doing so? Hope to hear a response soon, thanks!

about the only time you'd leave both active is if you're having problems with the microphone input on your pci soundcard.

what motherboard do you have?

Push the Del key to enter the bios configuration utility on system startup.
Use the page up page down keys to navigate to the integrated peripherals section and press the enter key.
Highlight the VIA on chip PCI deceive sub menu and press the enter key.
Select the VIA-3058 AC audio device option and change the setting to disabled.
Use the Esc key to exit the submenu.... then hit it again to exit the integrated peripherals section.
Use the F10 key to save the changes.
Then use the enter key to exit the BIOS configuration utility.
Your onboard audio should now be disabled.

OMG the scariest thing just happened to me, I'm still shakened. 
Anyways, I followed your instructions Mister X, after I did all that, saved and all, the computer took me into a window, the "continue in safe mode, safe mode w/ networking, continue normal, etc", after I chose any option, the computer just stopped at that point, just went into a black screen and the computer was still on, nothing but black screen. I was so scared I called my friend told him what happened and he told me to reset the BIOS to default settings.
Well I'm too scared to ever go into the BIOS again. I am 99% sure I did it correctly, when I restarted the computer again, I went to the BIOS and tried to enable the sound again, that didn't work either. What happened there? Anyways thanks for your help. Say if I just left the integrated sound enabled, would it use up computer resources or anything of that sort, or is there some other reason to disable it? Thanks again.
