We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

Quick question for you guys

Hey, I just aquired a P4 3.0e GHz ofcourse with Hyper Threading and my neighbor told me that Hyper Threading only works with 1 gig of RAM or more they have to be the same RAM sticks I am currently running 512 and Hyper Threading is enabled but my neighbor said It still wont work till I get 1 gig of RAM is this true!? HELP!!!!

HT isn't dependent on RAM. HT works anytime there are two CPU intensive threads or applications running simultaneously.

Do yourself a favor by NEVER again asking him for computer advice...

Mike
PS
HT will always work, unless you disable it in BIOS...

Just to tell you again. Never ask the foo for computer help. That or read hardocp with him for some quality technology learning time.

HT would work if you had 64 megs ram.

what he is thinking of is dual channel. Dual channel only works with two banks of same size and speed ram. But even with DC, there is no need to have at least 1 gig, two of any size sticks of ram would work as long as they were the same size.
