quick question about this cpu

juss opened this CPU:

when i opened the box all i got was the CPU chip and heat sink fan...
i was wondering if it comes with the thermal paste, or do i have to go buy some..
someone told me that i dont even need it...cuz the heatsink was enough..but im not too sure about that...

The heatsink should have a thermal pad on it. However you're much better off cleaning that off and putting on some AS5.
