quick question about sub $100 hard drives

From the research I've done, it seems like sub-100 dollar HD's are basically commodities. There doesn't seem to be much to separate the different models. I'm not looking for anything fancy, 7200 rpm, usb 2.0, that's about it. Will I be okay making a decision based on price alone?

Base your decision on price per gigabyte, and interface. 100 USD won't get you very far in terms of an external USB 2.0 drive with hdd included.

I can't find it on the website, but my BestBuy had a $119 Maxtor one touch 500gig USB. Though I would take the $19 cheaper Seagate

looks like it, but the web lists it at $169, so maybe it is an in-store only deal.
