Quick question about Picasa security

Hey all,

Just wondering if I install Picasa, if there is any risk of the photos on my computer inadvertently ending up in some public web album? I want to use it's powerful search and sort features without one day finding out.. oh sh!t my photos are all online now or all on Google's servers.

As you can tell I don't like the idea of storing my stuff on other people's servers so I run my own cloud like services and such from my home server.

Any opinions? Anyone out there use it and fully trust it?
