What type of video card 'family' will fit in my motherboard? - Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-DS4H

Specifically I'm looking at the Sapphire Radeon brands.... will the board fit any one of these whether its a $100 or $600 card? What should I look for when selecting which one to go with?

Keep in mind my computer in my sig below - im also upgrading my cpu/ram because those are 2+ year old components as well.
