Quick Heatsink installation question

I'm working on my new build right now, and have a quick question about the heatsink installation.

Im installing Prolimatech Mega Shadow Deluxe, should almost be identical to the Prolimatech Megahalems. How tight do i screw in the final two long bolts? (the standard large two screws that most heatsinks use) Until it doesn’t go any further? Reason im asking coz it seems like it’s really putting a lot of pressure.

You can see the screw im talking about on the 5th pic, it’s the one in the middle.

(Im using p6t v2 deluxe MOBO)

just looking at step 5 in the install guide and the pic of the screws i suspect you can tighten the screws without ill effect..... also the screws pictured are threaded for x distance and a shoulder is present to keep the screw from going in any further.... if i had to guess the shoulder position would also happen to put the springs at the recommended contact pressure....

on a side note, cool hsf........
 
Thanks guys, i will screw it down until it doesn’t go any further applying normal amount of pressure.

This cable management process is the most complicated one in a pc build IMO. Is it save to put a 6 pin MOBO power connector under the motherboard itself? Im talking about the connector that is on the top left side of the MOBO.

It is as long as you make sure not to puncture the wire insulation.

That is a very good point thank you. Well i cant really tell, but i mean this is really uncommon to punchure the wires this way right?
 
It's pretty uncommon, but it all depends on how you place the wire and if there are any long leads or pieces of metal sticking out of the bottom of the board for whatever reason. Just be careful and you should be fine.
