I just purchased a new Viewsonic P225FB. I bought it because it has excellent refresh rates at high resolutions. For example, 1600x1200 max refresh rate of 99hz. When gaming, for example Half Life 2, I enable Vertical Sync to get rid of the nasty "visual tearing" that sometimes occurs. I loaded fraps and reports my maximum frames per second at 75. I am certain that the max refresh rate is 99hz. I also have tried forcing the refresh rate in my video card settings. Also, what effect would running BNC cable's have over the standard VGA cables. I bought a pair of Monster BNC's and didnt not get it to work. Tech support at Viewsonic assured me I don't need BNC to take advantage of the high refresh rates. Any thoughts? Thanx in advance ;) Specs in sig.
